Ashaig Beach - a short walk from the cottage

The cottage is an ideal base for exploring both Skye and Wester Ross. There are many activities to try including hill walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and cycling. For the less energetic take a stroll along the beautiful, unspoilt Ashaig beach (only 200 yards from the cottage) and look out for seals, herons, oyster-catchers and other shore birds. For walking information visit Isle of Skye Walks.

Shore scene

Take a boat trip to stunning Loch Coruisk on the Misty Isle or visit the island of Rhum and see porpoises, seals, and varied sea birds. Or make a day trip to the Western or Small Isles on a Calmac ferry.

Blaven in the Cuillins

For the more energetic try a walk in the Cuillin Mountain range. After a day in the hills there are many fine restaurants for dining, serving local produce and fresh seafood.

These include the renowned: Kinloch Lodge and The Three Chimneys Restaurant.
